TouchProof ("we", "our", or "the app") is a privacy-first utility application designed to prevent accidental touchscreen touches while your device is in a pocket, bag, or during active voice calls and media playback.

1. No Personal Data Collection

TouchProof is built on a local-only architecture:

• We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data.
• We do not collect unique device identifiers, advertising IDs, IP addresses, or location data.
• The application does not integrate third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics or Firebase), tracking SDKs, or advertising networks.

2. Device Permissions & Transparency

TouchProof requests only the minimum set of permissions necessary to deliver its core touch-blocking capabilities:

• Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Used strictly to draw a non-intrusive transparent touch shield over running apps, intercepting and blocking accidental touches. No screen contents, keystrokes, or display pixels are recorded.
• Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE & SPECIAL_USE): Keeps the touch shield active while media or navigation runs in the background. An ongoing persistent notification is displayed while the shield is active, allowing you to dismiss it at any time.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Displays the required ongoing status notification so you can see TouchProof's active status and tap the 1-click "Stop" action directly from the Android notification shade.
• In-Call Ear Guard & Audio Mode State: Detects system audio mode transitions (AudioManager) to automatically pause touch-blocking during incoming call ringing and re-arm touch blocking during active calls. TouchProof does not record audio, does not access call logs, and does not access contact information.
• Vibration (VIBRATE): Provides subtle tactile haptic feedback when you tap to unlock or when pocket sensor engages.
• Hardware Sensors (Proximity & Accelerometer): Evaluates device proximity and orientation locally in real-time to determine when the device is inside a pocket or resting flat. Sensor data is processed entirely in volatile memory and is never logged or stored.
• Battery Optimization (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS): Allows the user to optionally exclude TouchProof from aggressive OEM background battery killers so touch protection is not unexpectedly terminated.

3. Zero Network Access

TouchProof does not request or utilize internet access (android.permission.INTERNET). The app is 100% functional offline and has no technical mechanism to send data over the network.

4. Children’s Privacy

TouchProof does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because no personal data is collected from any user, TouchProof complies fully with COPPA and global child privacy regulations.
